Jim Pennington

Jim Pennington is from the 3rd generation of Auctioneers in his family. He sold his first auction at age 16 and was the 2000 International Livestock Auctioneering Champion in Calgary, Canada. Jim is a past president of the California State Auctioneers Association, and a life member of the National Auctioneers Association. He has been featured as a speaker at the National Auctioneers Convention on the topic of bid calling. During his auction career of 30 years, he has sold over a billion dollars worth of assets.

Jim’s desire to be the best inspired the formation of the World Champion College of Auctioneering by bringing together the best Auctioneers in the world to afford their students the opportunity to pursue their goals of becoming successful in the auction business. He has trained hundreds of Auctioneers from the U.S. and Canada.

Jim has produced a nation-wide infomercial on the topic of auctions as a career. He has also authored a how-to book, DVD and CD about auctioneering and the opportunities in the auction industry.  His program has sold 1000’s of copies around the world.
